About The Practitioners

Amy Greene, Nationally Certified and Licensed Medical Massage Therapist,
Studied and Certified at the Montana School of Massage with an internship at the Community Medical Center in Missoula MT.

I believe massage is an integral part of a healthy lifestyle. As important as exercise and a healthy diet the benefits of massage for our bodies is something that should be made part of our regular regimen for staying healthy. I believe in a patient, painless approach to massage. I believe that pain is an indication of damage to the soft tissue and that allowing tissues to relax, rather than forcing them, gets greater results with a better overall experience.

As a former athlete my interest in Kinesiology and Anatomy has been lifelong. I have a fascination for the bodies ability to heal and love helping people achieve their physical goals. I have a passion for helping people improve their quality of life by using kinesiology based techniques to relieve pain, promote healing and improve muscle and joint function. I use a combination of massage modalities such as; trigger point, muscle energy techniques, positional release therapy and myo-facial release to create a therapeutic plan based on the clients specific needs.

A little bit about me: After some time as a college student/athlete, I spent 10 years working on a wilderness trail construction crew and traveling through central America in the off season. In 2006 I completed my massage certification and fell back in love with kinesiology and sports medicine. After moving back to Idaho in 2008 I began using my massage therapy certification full time. I am a wife and mother of two boys and an avid outdoor enthusiast who has more hobbies than time and I am absolutely passionate about helping people have a greater quality of life through massage.

Tara Sistrunk, Licensed Medical Massage Therapist, graduated from Coeur D'Alene Massage School and specializes in therapeutic massage and myo-kinesthetics. Therapeutic massage is a combination of modalities tailored for the individual client. Modalities used include myo-facial release, muscle energy techniques, positional release, trigger point and joint mobilization.

Myo Kinesthetics is a manual therapy separate from massage. MYK helps to reconnect feedback loops between the muscles and nerves. This therapy is especially good for conditions that are affected by the nervous system such as headaches, neuropathy, or nerve pain in the hands or feet.

I believe that the body has an innate ability to heal. I am passionate about helping my clients facilitate that healing through massage and manual therapies. My goal is to help you to create a treatment plan with a healing mindset that will promote the bodies ability to heal.
